Editing, proofreading and translation
proofreading.de provides proofreading, editing and translations for German and English texts.
Proofreading includes checking the text for spelling, punctuation and grammar according to the standard you require (new German spelling, Swiss standards, and British or American standards with English texts).
Editing includes additional checking for understandable wording, appropriate style, and logical structure.
You can extend the scope of the proofreading depending on the requirements of the project, for example:
- clarity of layout
- consistency of typography
- drawing up a list of customer-specific spellings and checking that these are complied with throughout
- verification of facts by means of internet research, e. g. for event dates etc.
Both proofreading and editing are carried out exclusively by qualified native speakers of the language that the text is written in.
Translations from German into English or from English into German are carried out by native speakers of the target language.
We are also happy to check the completeness and/or correctness of a translation on the basis of the original text.
